Neurosurgery Charity Softball Game

Every year around June 9th Neurosurgeons of The United States and even Canada participate in annual Neurosurgery charity softball game in the beautiful field of Central Park in New York City. This tournament brings the sweat and pure joy for the game, which will ultimately benefit the basic and translational research and advancement of brain cancer.

This Neurosurgical initiative has been founded by R. Komotar - Associate Professor & Program Director, Department of Neurological Surgery at University of Miami and J. Bruce - Professor of Neurosurgery, Director of Bartoli Brain Tumor Research Laboratory at Columbia University. This day is officially endorsed by former mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and has been declared as
“Neurosurgery Charity Softball Tournament Day” in the City of New York.

The main action takes place in North Meadow of Central Park from 08:00 to 19:00. A Softball game is usually spread by divisions and final teams battle for the first place at the end.
This event is open to families and general public to come and watch so feel free to attend even if you are not Neurosurgeon.
